Flying Farmers Conference Draws About 50 Attendees
About fifty Flying Farmers from Pennsylvania and neighboring areas gathered for a regional association meeting here. They shared updates on aviation activities, farming practices, and cooperative efforts to support rural air travel and agribusiness.
Sixth Show and Sale Spotlights Hereford Ordeals and Picks
Forty four registered Polled Herefords sold for an average of 625 at the sixth annual show and sale of the Eastern Polled Hereford Assn at the Guernsey Sale Pavilion on Lincoln Highway East. The grand champion female brought 2500 from Santa Fe River Ranch, Florida, while the grand champion bull sold for 1000 to Fauquer Farm, Virginia. The meet also featured a Pennsylvan ia Flying Farmers Association gathering at Lancaster Airport with about 25 farmers, tours, and new members invited by secretary L L Logan.

Penn State to provide two trainees in Lancaster County
Lancaster County Extension Assn. asks Penn State to assign two student trainees to help the county agent and home economist from June to September. The move, decided Saturday, would aid 4 H members and allows withdrawing a request for permanent staff funds. The board elected J. Loyd Rohrer as president and listed officers for the coming year.
