First Annual Homeowners Garden Tractor Pull at Allentown Fair
The Allentown Fair introduces a final day event the first Homeowners Garden Tractor Pull Sweepstakes in Farmorama. Tractors must be garden types with no farm tractors. drivers must be at least 16 with no sex discrimination. Five classes with $40 first place, $30 second, $15 third, and $15 for non winners. Entry $3, registration 10 11 a.m. and starting 12 30 p.m. Charles Snyder in charge with final rules.

Jolly Caterers Cooking Club Met at Mrs Fry’s Home
The third meeting of the Jolly Caterers Cooking Club occurred at Mrs Harold Fry’s house on June 23. Afterward the groups prepared baked goods including custard muffins quick breads and pineapple upside down cake with readings by Martha Trumbauer. The next meeting is set for July 7 from 7 00 to 9 00 at Mrs Fry’s home.

Jack Meli topped Bare Back with 70 and 190 dollars. Wyatt Crotta claimed Saddle Bronc with 64 and 127.40 dollars. Harry Gerhardt won Steer Wrestling in 5.6 seconds for 260.68. Dale Bibbo's Barrel Race time was 17.99 seconds for 148.96. Bill Wildes earned 166 dollars for roping calves in 16.0 seconds.
