The report covers steer and heifer beef ranges, calf and veal prices, lamb figures, assorted beef cuts, pork cuts, and regional notes for Chambersburg PA dated June 19 1975.
Slaughter cows and bulls varied with cattle prices steady to higher on June 23 1978 at Greencastle with Good to Choice vealers up. Hogs sows boars and feeder pigs listed with price ranges and weights and calves demand strong for holstein and beef crosses. Grain prices for ear corn shelled corn oats barley also updated with bid and offered values.
Lancaster farming notes from June 20 report: feeder steers 1.00 to 3.00 lower than last Friday with some 5.00 lower on Good. Feeder bulls 1.00 to 2.00 lower. Steer lots 735 to 850 pounds at 39.00 to 40.50, light 38.35, mixed Good and Choice 550 to 850 pounds 32.00 to 37.00, Good 435 to 700 pounds 26.75 to 30.00, 700 to 800 pounds 28.00 to 31.50. Bulls 440 to 700 pounds 24.50 to 28.75, 350 to 600 pounds 20.10 to 23.50.
