Hackman Named Conservation Farmer of the Year in Lancaster County

His 68 acre farm shows strong soil stewardship with contour farming, strip cropping, and grassland emphasis. He shifts from corn and tobacco to conservation practices, with silage plans and a 20 to 21 head Holstein Ayrshire milking herd.
