ARS to Relocate Poultry Virus Lab Near Lansing
ARS researchers under Dr. Ben R. Burmester plan a new 14-scientist facility south of the current site to replace an obsolete lab. The move frees 50 acres for the University of Illinois campus needs and adds an SPF chicken facility with isolation wards and specialized housing, funded by university land, cash, and $450,000 in federal appropriations.
