Honan to Speak at All Day Dairy Meeting
Dr. James E. Honan general manager of Inter State Milk Producers Cooperative will speak at Lenape Park Chester County on August 1 to discuss actions to divert a milk shortage. Dairymen from southeastern Pennsylvania Maryland and Delaware will attend an all day dairy meeting and picnic. Inter States actions raised milk prices by 40 cents per hundredweight to Delaware Valley dairymen due to higher production costs and drought conditions.

Bob Fisher Dominates 4th Annual FFA Hog Show at Lancaster
Bob Fisher of East Earl led a record sweep at the 4th annual FFA hog show at Lancaster Stock Yards. He won grand championship with a 200 pound York-Dur ee barrow first prize in an essay contest, plus reserve and other top awards across eight breed classes and a pen of three. Ronald Mull of Ephrata won the showmanship title, and Grassland Chapter captured the rotating trophy for highest scoring chapter.
