Efficiency in Livestock Breeding Sought
The American Foundation for Animal Health urged farmers and stockmen to push for marked breeding efficiency in farm and ranch livestock. Sterility and delayed breeding cost dairy herds over 200 million dollars annually in the United States. About five percent of milking cows are sold yearly for breeding failure and roughly thirty percent fail to conceive easily, causing further income and stock losses.
