August Seeding Guidance for Alfalfa and Clover
The August seedings of alfalfa and clover should be in the planning stage this summer. If seedings are made, seed alfalfa in the first week of August and red clover in the mid to late August. Band seeding with a fertilizer band beneath the seed band and firming the soil will improve stands.
