Lancaster Co Youth Wins Steer Reserve at Farm Show
Bob Hess aged 15 won the reserve grand champion baby beef at the Farm Show with a 1195 pound cham pion light heavyweight steer bred from a Maine-Anjou sire and Charolais-Angus dam. Hess is a Penn Manor sophomore in his sixth year of showing. Winning lightweight champion was James Wylie of West Chester. Continued on Page 16.

Crowds Fill 59th Pa Farm Show Amid Record Attendance
The 59th Pennsylvania Farm Show drew large crowds in Harrisburg with 150000 on opening day and 210000 on a peak Wednesday. Visitors from across the state viewed exhibits as Soviet agriculture officials toured displays. Bulls were removed from dairy competition and parking stretched across nearby lots as frigid weather gave way to milder days.

Area Youths Earn Top FFA Honors at Pennsylvania Convention
Jeffrey C. Miller of Kutztown and James Feipel of Ephrata were named State Star Farmer and State Star Agri businessman for 1975 at the 46th Annual Pennsylvania FFA Convention in Harrisburg. Miller, 17, is a Kutztown Area Senior High senior active in 4-H and Grange, manages dairy and crop operations, and has held multiple FFA leadership roles. Feipel is noted as Star Agri businessman recognizing his agricultural leadership.
