Farmers Help More Wildlife Across American Lands
Kenneth E. Grant of the Soil Conservation Service reports 7.5 million acres in 1972 were improved for wildlife, a 28 percent rise from the prior year. Over half a million acres were also converted to wildlife and recreation use. Conservation practices like stripcropping and windbreaks help wildlife and reflect farmers as major wildlife supporters.
