Angus Show Window Sale Sets High Averages in 1955 Auction
Registered Aberdeen Angus sold at the 1955 International Show Window Sale in Chicago. Fifty animals grossed $56,330 with ten bulls totaling $11,900 and forty females $44,430 to average $1,111. Ferndale Ranch paid $5,300 for Fannie Bess of Denver 14th. Highlands Bandolier 85th topped bulls at $3,000. Frank Richards managed the sale for the American Angus Association.

Wisconsin triumphs in intercollegiate meat judging contest
University of Wisconsin won the intercollegiate meat judging contest at the Eastern National Live Stock Show in Baltimore on November 15, earning permanent possession of the National Live Stock and Meat Board trophy after three wins. Coach Donald Kropf led Thomas Zwettler Richard Meyer and Harold Drew. Zwettler and Meyer tied for second best, Drew finished fifth. Top overall was Larry Hilgendorf of Pennsylvania State University.

SPABC Adds New Bull to Service Lucifer Grandson
Wimarjo Pabst Regal Lucifer, grandson of the famed Holstein Lauxmont Admiral Lucifer, was purchased by the South eastern Pennsylvania Artificial Breeding Cooperative and will enter service soon. Bred by Dr. S. H. Stires, Louisville Ohio, the sire has seven daughters averaging 13.338 lbs of milk at 4 percent and 532 lbs butterfat. Papers transfer in two to three weeks. Pravda, a Communist paper, has 4,900,000 circulation.

The proposed three month average would be 5.43 dollars per cwt, 75 cents below the November level, with 5.66 for December and 5.32 for January and February 1956.
