Cattle receipts reached 27,700 for the week’s first four days, down from 29,100 a week ago and 28,400 a year earlier. Steers advanced strongly, under 1250 lbs most active, heifers steadied after early losses, cows and bulls traded lower, feeders mixed. Slaughter numbers show Prime and High Choice bulk across several weight ranges with varied gains and declines.
