Receivers buy large sizes to serve regular customers as storage users stock top quality eggs for retail. A Labor Day weekend may ease the tight market.
Live poultry demand unsettled with yearling hens and caponetted fryers drawing interest. Hens and fryers in excess supply while wholesale prices vary by type with broilers 22-26 cents per pound and ducks Pekin at 28 cents.
