Red Rose DHIA Reports First Production Under New System
The Red Rose DHIA issued its first June production report under a machine record system. It covers herds computed by July 10. some June testers will appear next month. Top herd by butterfat was Ivan G. Martin, Eph rata, with 1 284 pounds milk and 52 pounds butterfat. Second was R John Yost, Narvon, with 1 310 pounds milk and 48 butterfat. The junior poultry cooking winner was Kathryn Yoselson, Montrose, with runner up Pauline Long, Myerstown. Barbara Eby, Lancaster, led the 305 day Holstein record at 19 707 pounds milk and 723 butterfat. The second 305 day Holstein was Albert R Fry, Manheim, with 17 044 pounds milk and 707 butterfat.
