Queens Crowned at Lancaster County 4-H Achievement Day
The Lancaster County Farm and Home Center hosted the annual 4-H Achievement Day with crowning of two queens from the Red Rose 4-H Baby Beef and Lamb Club. Miss Karen High and Miss Debra Kreider were named Senior and Junior 4-H Queen as more than 500 watched the queen contest and about 800 attended the day’s events.

Nelson Martin was named Lancaster County Red Rose Star Farmer, the highest county honor, for his supervised farming program, FFA activities and offices, outside-FFA involvement, and interview. He is Lancaster County FFA Chapter president since January, active across chapter, county, and state events, with Holstein farming. Runner up was Donald Brenneman of Lampeter Strasburg High School.

Dress Revue names five regional representatives in Southeast
In the Southeast Region 4-H Dress Revue at the Farm and Home Center Eph rata a 17 year old Deborah Myers was chosen among five to represent the region in the state competition. Other winners were Cindy Jo Chrisman Mary Herrich Linda Rohrbach and Debra Shermeyer. Seventy one senior contestants from 12 counties took part with runners up listed by county.
