Garden Spot 4-H Members Off To Flying Start at State Club Week
Lancaster County 4-H members begin state club week at University Park with 451 agricultural judging teams in state championships. The softballs team defeated Montgomery County 9 to 1. Livestock and poultry judging teams won state titles with blue ribbons. several other 4-H demonstration teams won or placed. Individual top livestock judge was Donald Werri Strasburg with James Hess of Strasburg second and Seat M Herr of Reston fifth. Additional contests in electric and dairy demonstrations and vegetable use were held Wednesday.
