Area FFA students compete for speaking and parliamentary awards
Seven schools from Chester and Lancaster counties took part in an FFA area public speaking and parliamentary procedure contest at Brownstown Vo-Tech. Garden Spot Grassland Environmental claimed first with Dean Weiler as president and Rick Groff as reporter, coached by Clifford Day. Solanco placed second led by Tom Jackson, followed by Ephrata Cloister, Octorara, and Oxford chapters. The winner advances to the Eastern Region contest at Lehigh Community College in Allentown.
