Grassland Environmental FFA Chapter members have spent two years on conservation and ecological projects to improve natural resources and wildlife refuges in northeastern Lancaster County. Advisors Phil Ogline and Cheryl Rousseau of Garden Spot High School explain the program grew from student interest in ecology and conservation.

The Cloister FFA team of five from Ephrata claimed top honors at the County Land Judging event held April 8 on the Harlan Hoover farm near Elizabethtown. Garden Spot finished second with Solanco third and Penn Manor fourth. Elizabethtown, Pequea Valley and Lampeter Strasburg also participated.

York 4-H Leader Jeff Roth Honored for Civic and Horticulture Work
