Guernsey Cow Andrews Millie Reports 105?00 Pounds Milk

Andrews Millie of Church Farm School Paoli completed an official DHIR production record under The American Guernsey Cattle Club. The two year old cow produced 10 600 pounds of milk and 503 pounds of butterfat in 305 days with twice daily milking, tested under Penn State University supervision.

Shropshire Breeders Meet to Preview Pregnancy Test

Ivan Lindahl of the USDA Beltsville Ruminant Nutrition Lab will demonstrate a new pregnancy diagnosis method for ewes at the Penn Mar Shropshire Breeders Club on April 14. The event at Micar Farm near Stewartstown will show rectal palpation with a probe and include colored slides.
