American Railway Association released figures showing U S railroads moved 100000 troops to the Mexican border last summer using 340 trains with only one mishap. They deployed 4900 locomotives and thousands of cars, enough to stretch a ninety mile long train. Troops traveled during peak traffic without significant disruption.
The source notes the ease of moving supplies for the war effort citing a quartermaster general report. Within a little over four days after orders to manufacturers for twenty seven trucks they crossed the border 1600 miles away. The trucks and personnel were en route to General Pershing loaded with supplies.

In Rushville on August 9 1912 rumors arose involving Mr Dennison with townspeople hinting he had abandoned his property. The State Fire Marshal suspected arson. Dennison sued National Fire Insurance Co and Aetna Fire Insurance Co for losses across five policies and won several thousand dollars. The insurers appealed and the Indiana Supreme Court recently ruled in their favor.

Judge Reeves granted a divorce for May Queen Baumgartner from Finley Baumgartner on grounds of gross neglect and failure to provide. The defendant’s cross petition was dismissed and May Queen Baumgartner was restored to her maiden name May Queer Hehtens.
The funeral for Mrs PF B Ames will be Saturday at two o'clock at the First English Lutheran Church. The body was moved tonight from F E Smith Co parlor to the home of her daughter Mrs Harry F L Ludwick at 816 East Main. Friends may view the remains at the Ludwick home tonight, and the casket will be opened at the church. Mr Alles arrived from Charleston West Virginia at 6:43 last evening.
