Drunken race crash kills mechanic in Columbus area
A high speed wreck on the Groveport road six miles south of Columbus killed Willian T Breadbeck and badly injured Carl Pfeifer. Miss Anna Platt escaped unharmed. Pfeifer, Brodbeck, and a passenger left from Columbus bound for Lancaster when Brodbeck lost control and crashed into freight cars.

John Wallace known as Captain Jack Crawford frontier Indian fighter and Civil War veteran, died at his Wood Haven Long Island home after a monthlong pneumonia.
