Washington April 2 The 66th congress opens with Senate led by Vice President Marshall and House organization amid a sensation. The President prepared to ask for a state of war and declare it already exists. if House organizes quickly, the address may be delivered today otherwise Tuesday. Clark elected speaker 217 to 205.
A downtown plumber, awakened about 4 on Sunday to fix a supposed leaking pipe in the City Hospital, rushed in with tools after a hurried toilet. Upon arrival he found no call and no leak. a nurse reminded it was April 1 and he named two people who might have played the joke.
