Man from Cheektowaga guilty of estranged wife murder
A Cheektowaga man, Adam R. Bennefield Sr., 47, was found guilty by a jury on one count of murder in the second degree, one count of aggravated criminal contempt, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child for a 2022 homicide in Buffalo. He crashed into his estranged wife’s vehicle, then shot her in view of her three children. The victim, Ke Aira Hud son Bennefield, 30, died at the scene. He faces 25 years to life at sentencing.
