Lancaster Town Hall soffit repairs near the front entrance are to be completed this winter. The entrance has been closed as a safety precaution while lead abatement proceeds. Town Engineer Ed Schiller said crews will finish lead work, then begin repairs with doors targeted to reopen before mid winter and paint delayed until spring.

Erie County Clerk Michael Kearns warns drivers who renewed online with self certified vision between March 2020 and August 2021 that their licenses will be suspended on December 1 2023 if they do not submit a vision test. The DMV offers three options to prove at least 20 40 vision, including tests at approved providers with results entered to the Vision Registry, submitting an MV 619 form, or visiting an Erie County Auto Bureau for free testing.
