Lancaster DPW Welcomes Kids On Bring Your Kids To Work Day
The Village of Lancaster hosted Bring Your Kids to Work Day on April 24 at the DPW. Twelve children joined their parents to wear orange shirts, learn safety basics, help plant soil in business district planters, clean up, ride in large trucks, and even use a fire hose with a village fire engine visit. Lunch was provided by village officials. Mayor Bill Schroeder praised the program, noting a decade of participation and enjoyment for both dads and kids. Deputy Mayor Tammie Malone-Schaefer organized the meal arrangement.
