The Village of Lancaster adopts a form based zoning code for its central downtown district introducing three zones MU-1 MU-2 and MU Core to enable mixed use development. The zones span most of Central Avenue and are designed to guide growth along chosen routes, inviting new opportunities for developers.
The Depew Village Board unveiled an 18.6 million dollar tentative budget for 2023 24 with a potential double digit tax increase. Mayor Kevin Peterson said officials will trim the figure before the April 24 meeting. The budget is labeled a wish list by departments and is viewable at village hall or online.
Lancaster Depew Rotary Club outlines plans for 2023 service events including a District 7090 Conference at Niagara County Community College on April 15 16 with projects for children seniors and Ukraine. A Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup on April 22 in Buffalo draws Amherst Rotary and local officials. A May 6 project at Hull Home Genesee Street Lancaster aims to preserve a historic stone dwelling.
