Evening with the LHS Symphonic Band at 7 30 March 16
Lancaster High School presents the 10th annual Evening with the LHS Symphonic Band under Richard Goss at 7 30 p m Thursday March 16 in the LHS Auditorium. Free and open to the public the concert features solo and ensemble performances by Mateo Jacuzzo Adam Heiler Irene Ananiadis Nadia Impellitteri and more with 15 senior members honored. The program includes Poet and Peasant Overture Beyond the Horizon Irish Tune From County Derry Spain I Got Rhythm and Ragtime highlights ending with Broadway selections. Youth Bureau seeks return to damaged Oxford Avenue building
Lancaster Youth Bureau director John Trojanowsky says repairs after the Blizzard of 1922 damage are progressing with Schafer Construction aboard and the Senior Center hosting operations. Ten staff may grow with better weather as $38,275 of insurance funds are approved for upcoming repairs and crews work toward a late April reopening.

Hailey Haniszewski Named Delegate To Future Medical Leaders
LHS junior Hailey Haniszewski is selected as a delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders to be held June 21 to 23 at UMass Lowell. The honors only event spotlights top high school students pursuing medicine or medical research and features Nobel Laureates and deans speeches, with guidance on medical school and future advances in medicine. Haniszewski participates as a member of the LHS First Responders Club, Lancaster Volunteer Ambulance Corp., Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, and String Orchestra officer.
