Lady Lancers coach Gilano earns Lancaster Coach of the Year
St Marys of Lancaster girls ice hockey, under Martin Gilano since 2022, rose from a winless first season to an 8-8-2 record in 2023-24 and won the Catholic schools championship 3-2 in double overtime over Monsignor Martin. Gilano credited team chemistry, defense, and goaltending duos Betsy Accurso and Avery Hall, with captain Reece Gall leading the charge. He praised assistant coaches and predicted future titles as the program builds a winning culture.
