Obituary Stephen J Poliachik teacher and athlete 78
Stephen J Poliachik 78 of Depew died February 7 2023. A Buffalo Public Schools teacher for 34 years he excelled in baseball and football earning high honors at McKinley High School and a Jacksonville University baseball scholarship. He pitched batting practice for legends with the Buffalo Bisons and acted in The Natural filmed in Buffalo. He coached at Bennett High School for 20 years and was inducted into multiple halls of fame. He is survived by his wife daughters grandchildren and extended family. Funeral services held in Cheektowaga with private interment. Donations suggested to Roswell Park or a leukemia fundraiser.

Auto bureau broadens hours at Eastern Hills Mall and Tonawanda
The auto bureau inside Eastern Hills Mall now operates 10 am to 6 pm Tuesday to Friday and 8 am to 3 pm Saturday. The Tonawanda Sheridan Plaza location runs 7 am to 5 pm on weekdays and is closed Saturdays.
