Free winterization kits available in the Depew Community Center laundry room to help residents insulate homes and cut heating costs. The Lancaster Depew Rotary Club collects holiday donations to support Trinity Food Pantry and Tri-Community Food Pantry. Donations may be mailed to Lancaster Depew Rotary, PO Box 53, Lancaster NY 14086, or given online via a QR code on the club's Facebook page.

Erie County also launches a paramedic academy in January to train EMTs AEMTs for local ambulance services with classes Mondays and Thursdays for 10 months starting January 6 at 500 Commerce Drive Amherst.
The village marks a yearlong 175th anniversary with a volunteer committee guiding events across 2024. Monthly gatherings included tours, contests, guest speakers, and partnerships with the Lancaster Depew Elma Chamber of Commerce and Lancaster Library. The final speaker series occurs December 17, with Sip N Shop on December 13 and New Year’s Eve events planned. Local merchants, DPW, and fire department crews are thanked for support and safety during the year’s celebrations.
