Garden Club wins prizes at Erie County Fair Flower Show
Lancas ter Garden Club members earned multiple awards at the Erie County Fair Flower Show this month. Carol Ottaviani won first for a window garden using flowering foliage, Debbie Page took first for a foliage plant, and Janet Heinemann for a functional informal table titled Midway After Dark. Devin Fialkowski earned two second places for a broken pot planter with three plants. Sandy Wiess claimed third for five hosta leaf varieties. Honorary mentions went to Nancy Sekuterski for foliage plants, Nancy Kelly for a functional brooch, and Page and Fialkowski for an outdoor garden named Midway Full of Fun.

PorchFest lands in Lancaster with 63 bands across 37 porches
The first Lancaster PorchFest will run Saturday from noon to 5 PM across 37 locations featuring 63 bands in diverse genres from bluegrass to hip hop. Village Trustee John Mikeley, who organized it, says the strollable event needs minimal village support and aims to attract a wide turnout, with an after party at Skoobs Village Grille, Fattey Beer Co. and Lilly Belle Meads from 6 PM onward.
