State opens overtime tax credit for New York farm employers
New York reopened eligibility for a Farm Employer Overtime Credit. Eligible farm employers may apply for a certificate of advance payment to receive reimbursement from the Department of Taxation and Finance for overtime paid since Jan 1, 2024. The program, part of Gov Hochul’s efforts to aid farmers, runs through Sept 30 for advance eligibility with later refunds via DTF.
