Adult Driver Training School Slated May 21
Lamesa Police Department and Dawson County Sheriff's Office with the Texas Department of Public Safety announce an Adult Driver Training School in Lamesa starting May 21 at 7:00 pm. Sessions run May 21 to 24 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at East Side Baptist Church 509 NE 4th. Two classes, Spanish and English, limit 69 per class. Open to unlicensed drivers 18 or older seeking license qualification. Register at Drivers License Office 215 N Main. bring proof of birth date.

Five Tech students show in Dallas exhibit
Sam Horn of Lamesa and four other Tech students earned spots in the Dallas-Fort Worth Society of Visual Communications annual student show. Over 400 entries from seven universities were narrowed to 63 for exhibition this month in Dallas.

The Lamesa Woman's Study Club installed officers for 1973-74 with Mrs J D Jenkins receiving the master key. A gift was given to outgoing president Mrs Wade Alverson, and harmony was cited as the chosen theme by Mrs Jenkins. The Dawson County Garden Club also held officer installations and a luncheon in Pioneer Gas Company's Flame Room, with officers named and delegates chosen for upcoming meetings.
