Golden Tor Band lands 23 on all region team
Lamesa High School’s Golden Tornado Band earned 23 spots on the all region band after Thursday tryouts in Levelland with two alternates. Five locals made first chairs including five of seven trombones and the first four tubas. the group will rehearse in Lubbock before a Saturday concert at Monterey High School.

Sands livestock winners named at Four County Young Farmers show
The Four County Young Farmers hosted its annual Sands school district Livestock Show at the Vocational building. Judge Lynn Walling of Howard County College presided.
