The Tors shocked Snyder Tuesday night in a major upset before a schedule of home games, with Dunbar visiting Lubbock Friday in a key rematch setup for a district title race. Former Dunbar star Marc Wilson, listed as 29, drew notice in a nearby paper.

Lamesa Masonic Lodge 909 will observe Past Master Night on Tuesday at the Masonic Hall 700 North 13th Street. A 6:30 p.m. covered-dish supper precedes a program by C A Holmes of Lubbock. Worshipful Grand Master Eugene Truett urges all Master Masons to attend. about 400 masons and wives expected.
Emory Bellard will speak at the Texas A&M Booster Club Football Banquet at the Student Center. Four 1921 Lamesa High School teammates Raymond Earnest Rube Kelley W N Bill Anderson and Clyde Bailey will be honored guests along with other former greats like Stanley Wilkes Bob Crawley Gallopin Gus White. Master of Ceremonies Ray Renner. Tickets limited and handled by Booster Club members.
Lamesa Independent School District trustees expelled three students and barred another from re enrolling for the remainder of the semester after hearings Tuesday and Friday. The board, meeting in the Board Room, acted pursuant to a federal injunction requiring due process before expulsion. The cases centered on mari juana possession under board policy. one other student withdrew before hearing and was also barred from re entering for the semester. See school page 2.
