From across the state reports of rising prosperity and political jostling emerge. Colorado shows economic optimism with mining and farming, while pages critique leaders and parties. Lamar and Prowers counties dominate political chatter as campaigns heat up for months to come.
Patron praises the Holly Chieftain’s editor with hogs for sale and plans a Lamar visit to view Wirt Markyate’s orchard and other local curios. The issue advertises the St Louis Grosz Democrat and Weekly Democrat, praises Southeastern Colorado papers, notes editor changes in Cheyenne Wells, Lamar’s growing city amenities, and the Arkansas Valley in sugar beets.
