Holly Fourth Celebration Trains Limited Races Added

The Holly Fourth of July celebration loses a Santa Fe special train due to car shortages but reorganizes events to run on Train No 8. Races and field sports start after 3 pm and continue into the evening with a bronco busting contest. Train No 2 from Lamar departs at midnight for full day attendance. William Travers Jerome of New York delivers the oration. Platt Rogers of Denver also speaks. Local businessmen have raised over 500 dollars for the event.

Amity Prepares For New Businesses And Seed Store

Mr. Pratt visited Amity last Tuesday to locate a site for Strain Bros. feed and seed store set to arrive in about two weeks. Two upcoming ventures include a modern confectionery shop and a bakery restaurant, with Ridge slated for relocation soon.
