Notice of an alias timber culture complaint filed by Lemuel G. Stubbs against Thomas A. Jones for failure to comply with timber culture law on entry No 604 dated August 22 155 in section 1 township 28 range in Prowers County Colorado. Jones allegedly did not plow or plant trees seeds or cuttings during years 1885 1887 1888 1890 1892 1902 and the default persists. A lively turnout filled the Odd Fellows ball with masked revelers and spectators. Women wore Mother Hubbards and other elaborate costumes while men dressed as generals, clowns, and various characters. The Hotel Deming catered the banquet in fitting style for the town’s festive evening.
At the Colorado Democratic club executive meeting held February 18 the resolution unanimously congratulates President-elect Cleveland on naming J Sterling Morton of Nebraska to the cabinet post as Secretary of Agriculture.
