A Boston Courier account tells of a dying mother and her five year old daughter Edith who comforts her by asking if she is afraid to die. The child urges mother to hold her hand and sleep calmly. The mother then awakens calm and says she is not afraid.
In southern New Hampshire a former Mason tavern known for Hannah Mason, the youngest sister who spun flax and wove on a loom, was linked to a haunting. Travelers spoke of wheel noises while brothers Joseph and others investigated the garret where a spinning wheel reportedly moved with a rat on its rim.
Selections from history recount alva Cromwell Marlborough Suwaroff and Wellington, famed for enduring undefeated records in major campaigns. The note cites Alva’s remark that conquest outweighs fighting, while Marlborough and Wellington maintain uninterrupted success through long careers. It also mentions Suworow retreating victoriously from overwhelming odds.
The Lamar Colorado Board of County Commissioners meets in regular session with K Stevenson Thos Griffith and W McPherson present. They approve the monthly road overseer report for District No. 3 by A E Jontz and issue warrants on the general road fund. Claims are allowed against the Ordinary county revenue fund, including payments to English Lumber Co Dawley Holw Co Huffman and Tyler and others. The board adjourns to Lamar for December 8 and later approves reports, payments, and a cattle valuation adjustment for a petitioner.

An advertisement promotes Kodol Dyspepsia Cure to digest all foods and strengthen stomach function, claiming cures for dyspepsia and indigestion and noting endorsements by Gov G W Atkinson and I H Myers. It also suggests Chamberlain's Stomach and Liver Tablets to improve appetite, with a Detroit user testimonial, and states the product is sold by all druggists with every box warranted.
Acker's English Remedy advertised as the cure for lung troubles, coughs, and colds. Sold by W.H. Hooker & Co. in Buffalo with a money back guarantee, available through I.H. Myers, Lamar, Colorado.

A historic $112,500 coin and stock transfer in San Francisco on August 30, 1901. Businessmen funded a treatment for Brights disease and diabetes after trials from Nov 15, 1900, with eighty seven percent success across thirty six cases. Public notices promise free mailing of committee reports and clinical data upon request.
An administrator notes the probate in Lamar Colorado for the estate of William N Phillips, deceased. The county court will hear claims at the December term and all creditors should file claims or settle debts with the administrator, Joan W Puivies, and attorney J K Doverty.

Proof to be given before Lamar Colorado December 18 1902 with witnesses Charles Myers Rinehart Vogel Abraham Doeter and John Zeman all of Lamar Colorado.
