Rabbit Day Association Holds Enthusiastic Meeting

The Rabbit Day Association met at the Commercial Club rooms last Friday with strong turnout. W. Gould was elected president and L. Wirt Markham secretary, committees set to run the annual hunt on December 20–21. The new opera house was opened to the public with strong showings of Polly and I Master and Man and other performances.

Fort Lyon Canal Company Stockholders Meet in Las Animas

A largely attended meeting of Fort Lyon Canal Company stockholders in Las Animas Monday saw a proxy vote fully represented. The session opened with a clash between Bent county stockholders led by T. C. Henry and the Burton Malvane interests and their opponents.
