A meeting is set for next Saturday August 8th 1805 at 2 pm in the courthouse to elect officers for the ensuing year all members urged to attend. The report includes local social and civic notes with various residents visiting in Lamar and surrounding towns.
The Republican County Central Committee met last Saturday at 2 PM. Vice-chairman Mrs. M. L. Stewart led the session with all precincts except Holly represented. J. S. Hasty was elected committeeman from Lamar No. 1 and Mrs. J. K. Doughty from Lamar.
The Junior Christian Endeavor Society will host a social at the Christian Church next Thursday evening at 5 o'clock with ice cream and cake at 15 cents per plate. All are invited. May Korxaan is President and Laura Giewy is Secretary.
U.S. Land Office in Col orado schedules a complaint against Francis J. Hiram Haines for abandoning Homestead Entry No 1738 dated June 21 1587. The case concerns the northeast quarter of Section Township 22 South Range 43 West in Prowers County. Parties must appear Oct 1 1596 at 9:00 A M to provide testimony on the abandonment. They are summoned to appear September 9 1895 at 9 AM at the U S Land Office Lamar to respond and give testimony regarding the entry on the new section details.
