Laguna Woods Council OKs eight GRF open space parcels
The Laguna Woods City Council voted unanimously on July 29 to reclassify eight Golden Rain Foundation parcels as open space for recreation. GRF President Kathryn Freshley said the move preserves long term city spaces, with plans to develop Garden Center No.3 on one parcel while avoiding commercial use. The council also extended until Aug 19 discussions to solicit bids for solid waste disposal under a franchise agreement.
