Artists respond to Sept 11 aftermath in Pretty Lies Dirty Truths
Cassandra Hill’s striking image of the falling Twin Towers anchors a BC Space exhibit “Pretty Lies, Dirty Truths” featuring over 200 artists. The show explores grief and suspicion of political motives after the tragedy, with works reacting to Patriot Act debates and post 9 11 wars. Two cinema events in Laguna Beach also address the era, including 9 11 01 at Regency Laguna South Coast and The Utopian Society at Seven Degrees, both at 7 p.m.
