Will Schmidt, 34, of Laguna Niguel completed a 58 day paddle from Canada to the Mexico border, a fundraising and awareness voyage for Wounded Warrior Project. He started May 29, endured cold Washington waters and sealife encounters, and slept in sea caves. His effort followed a push to ease years of depression with paddling.
