Hearing Opens on Secondary Boycott Charges in NLRB Case

In Chattanooga Tennessee a trier examiner for the National Labor Relations Board began hearings on charges that a union violated the TaftHartley Act by engaging in secondary boycott tactics. The case centers on a dispute involving nonunion workers at Mother and Watsons Specialty Store and a contract with an interior decorating firm. The proceedings consider whether picketing and union action prior to the TaftHartley Act constitutes an unfair labor practice.
