Trinity Lutheran Church schedules Sunday School Rally Day on September 9 with pin awards for members across multiple years. The new minister Rev Myron J Hoff will preach September 16 and be installed September 23 by Rev Weldon Smith.

Delegates from La Marque at the Forty Seventh Biennial Supreme Youth Council Convention in Miami. Miss Anitta L Lyles Miss Charlotte Renny Eward and Mrs Utah Gilford attended. Lyles appeared in the Miss Supreme Calanthea Pageant and helped present the Royal Court at the Everglades Hotel.
Mrs Harriet Spengler of Dickinson Area 10 vice president of Church Women United of Texas will visit La Marque to meet interested churchwomen for reorganizing the La Marque unit. The meeting is set in the Youth Room of First United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. All denominations are invited to join for fellowship.
The first full general meeting of the Women of St Michael’s Episcopal Church is set for 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday September 11 in the Parish Hall with Mrs. C N Micheletti Jr presiding. Plans will discuss the $300 remaining in the church project fund and the annual luncheon is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday September 19 with Bob Dahlgren of Channel 11 TV as host.
