Mainland Cub Scouts and Webelos will hold a field day on Saturday December 4 at Etheredge Stadium. About 200 boys are expected to participate with registration starting at 9 a.m. Den Mothers sack race is the featured event and finals are set for 1 p.m.

A special Civil Air Patrol Sunday is set for December 5 observed by the Texas City La Marque Squadron in uniforms. CAP since 1941 has served in coastal patrol air search rescue and emergency roles with 72,000 members nationwide and thousands of clergy and cadets involved in aerospace education.
