The county ballot will list only four names from twenty for presidential electors and their groups. Voters will finish quickly as ballots are counted at similar rates. La Grande may know precinct results before midnight. A published list shows electors by state ticket with party affiliations and counties such as Gilliam Douglas Linn Multnomah Marion Baker Umatilla and Union represented.

Baker City hosts a busy influx for the county fair as Sumpter Valley passengers arrive from the interior and travelers come from North Powder Huntington Eagle and Pile valley delegations.
