The robber took 4350 from five passengers two revolvers and a purse containing 60 from a man named Hatings of Portland. A posse is in pursuit.

The steamer Reliance carrying about 100 passengers ran aground at Alki Point in dense fog. Crew guided frightened passengers ashore by rescue boats and electric cars after a missing boat was reported lost. All were later found safe as high tide rose.
Jacob Fuches, arraigned yesterday before the grand jury for selling whisky at his Hot Lake area ranch, again pleaded not guilty to the charge. If convicted, he faced trial soon for reportedly purchasing a barrel of whisky and selling bottles to Japanese workers and others at one dollar each.

The first decisive enforcement victory under the local option law was won by District Attorney Phelps. In the State against Ben Morton the jury found guilty after about an hour of deliberation. Morton ran the old Brewery saloon on Court Street and faced multiple indictments. Will M. Peterson and Colonel J. H. Raley defended him while District Attorney Phelps led the prosecution. Eight true bills were returned by the grand jury. seven indictments remain to be disposed of.
John J. Rezab an electrician of Joseph married this morning in the Methodist parsonage to Misa Gertrude Hill of Winona Minnesota. Rev C E B Deal affiliated. Mr and Mrs Rosa will make their home in Joseph.
