Publicity men return from National Apple Show Spokane
Fred B. Currey, Robert Wythycombe and H. H. Weatherspon, representing La Grande, Elgin and Union exhibits, returned from Spokane with a profitable trip for the county. Fifty four thousand pieces of advertising literature were distributed. Union county had the largest district exhibit, with three displays side by side under the Union county banner and a 60 foot frontage. Special comment praised the winter Bananas grown near Elgin, the Opalescener grown near Cove.
